1. Energy intake (calories) should be in balance with energy expenditure.
  2. Total fat should not exceed 30% of total energy intake and intake of saturated and trans-fats should be less than 10% and 1%, respectively, of total energy intake.
  3. Intake of free sugars should be limited to less than 10% of total energy intake.
  4. Salt intake should be kept to less than 5 g per day.
